Overview
The Vast American Tapestry invites Salmagundi Club artist members to exhibit work interpreting the American experience as the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary. All mediums accepted.
Key Dates
- Submission deadline: Monday, September 7, 2026
- Notification: Tuesday, September 22, 2026
- Work receiving: October 15–18, 10AM to 5PM
- Exhibition: October 27 – November 27, 2026
- Artwork pickup: November 27, 6PM–9PM and November 28–December 1, 10AM–5PM
Eligibility & Restrictions
Open to Salmagundi Club artist members only. Only work not previously shown at Salmagundi will be accepted.
Media & Size
- All mediums accepted
- Up to 2 artworks per artist
- Outside dimensions of frame may not exceed 30" in any direction
- Sculptures should be no more than 28" high and no more than 40 lbs
- All works must be professionally framed with wire for hanging, or professionally presentable for gallery display with appropriate mounting

No entry fee.

- Macowin Tuttle Memorial Award: $500
- Gordon Euker Memorial Award: $200
- Hannibal Debellis Richman Award (sculpture): $200
- Gene Caesar Magazzini Memorial Prize (oil): $150
- Frank Vincent Dumond Memorial Award: $150
- D. Wu and Elsie Ject-Key Memorial Award (water medium or oil): $100
- Franklin Ballard Williams Award: $100
- Junius Allen Memorial Award (oil): $100
Submission & Delivery
Submit through ShowSubmit by September 7, 2026. Accepted works must be delivered in-person during receiving days (October 15–18) or shipped to the clubhouse. All shipping must include a prepaid return label. Works not submitted through ShowSubmit or delivered after receiving days will not be accepted.
Sales Commission
The club retains 30% of all sales; 70% goes to the artist. During the exhibition, the online catalog functions as an online store.
