AICA International and the Cité internationale des arts invite applications from international art critics for a research residency programme. The programme encourages mobility and supports research projects on art criticism while fostering encounters with the French art, critical, and curatorial scenes.

  • Demonstrate at least five years of professional experience in art criticism
  • Be a current member of AICA at the time of application
  • Reside outside mainland France
  • Collective applications are not eligible
  • A live-in studio on the Marais site of the Cité internationale des arts
  • A monthly stipend of 1,000 EUR
  • Coverage of come and go international travel costs, within 1,000 EUR
  • Access to professional networking and public programme opportunities
  • Tailored guidance and facilitated access to professional networks
