Instituto Buena Bista (IBB) is a platform for contemporary arts on Curaçao founded by David Bade and Tirzo Martha. The residency offers a 3-month working period where residents develop new work while contributing to the IBB's educational programs for young people (ages 15-25) and potentially collaborating with other Caribbean artists-in-residence.

  • Artists based in Caribbean part of Kingdom: contribution may be increased for higher travel costs
  • Develop and execute new artistic plans during the working period
  • Contribute to broadening vision and references of IBB students through classes, site-specific projects, public interventions, or lectures
  • Potential collaboration with other Caribbean artists-in-residence through Junior-Senior exchanges
  • Work with selected IBB students on site-specific projects

Selection made by advisory committee based on submitted documents. Committee proposes candidates to IBB, which makes final decision. Processing time may exceed three months. An interview may be part of the selection process.
