Overview
Arizona Photography Alliance (AZPA) is holding the second Theme Gallery call in 2026 for Summertime: Long Days, Lazy Days, Gentle Breezes. Submit your best photographic work that supports this broad topic. All entrants will be represented in the virtual gallery, and can offer their chosen image for sale (handled directly by the artist, not through AZPA).
Eligibility
Open to AZPA members and non-members. Non-members are welcome to join to become eligible for the reduced rate. AZPA Board members may not submit to the Theme Gallery Exhibitions.
Media & Submission Requirements
- Submit up to three images
- Images no larger than 2MB in size; 1,500 pixels on the long side
- Entries may be in any medium — analog, digital, or alternative processes are welcome
- AI photography is NOT accepted
Awards
Independent juror Claire A. Warden will choose one first-place winner to receive a cash award of $100, plus two honorable mention recipients that will be featured on the website and social media platforms.

About the Juror
Claire A. Warden is an interdisciplinary artist who works in still and moving image media engaging identity, representation, illegibility, and language. Informed by anti-essentialism and decolonial theory, her work uses experimental image-making and cameraless abstraction. Warden's work has been exhibited widely in the United States and abroad, featured in Harper's Magazine, Der Greif Magazine, Lenscratch, and Light Work's Contact Sheet. She received artist residencies through the Center for Photography at Woodstock, LATITUDE, ACRE, Light Work, and Penumbra Foundation. She holds a BFA and BA from Arizona State University and an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
