Hills Hub Art Space: Artist in Residency Program EOI

Overview

A paid artist residency program providing dedicated time, space, and support for artists to develop their creative practice. The primary focus is to support artistic development, experimentation, and creative growth. A public outcome is welcome but not essential.

• Applications open: Monday, 13 July 2026
• Applications close: Thursday, 1 October 2026
• Application outcome: Applicants will be notified by Friday, 30 October 2026

Residency Details

• Paid residencies of 5 or 11 weeks
• Location: Hills Hub Art Space, Cardinia Shire, Victoria

Eligibility

• Applications especially encouraged from young people
• Emerging artists
• Artists who identify as disabled, CALD, and/or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander

What We're Looking For

• A strong project plan explaining how the residency will support your practice and what you hope to achieve
• Visual storytelling that encourages learning, tolerance, and insight into lived experience and cultural practices
• Willingness to engage with the community and visitors to the site
• Interesting, experimental, and site-specific ideas

Assessment Criteria

• Artistic merit and quality of practice
• Demonstrated benefit of the residency to the applicant's creative development
• Capacity to utilise the residency opportunity effectively

Fill in the Expression of Interest form, along with a brief artist CV and any relevant support material (images of your work, project plans, sketches, or links to online content). Artists who prefer to submit an application in video format are welcome to email Bronwyn Ward directly.
