Overview

The Kulturpreis 2026 of the Kunsthalle Hochschwarzwald Foundation is awarded annually in alternating categories. 2026 marks the first year it is granted in the visual arts category.

Eligibility

Open to artistically active persons age 18 and older.

What to Submit

Digital portfolio as a single PDF document, maximum 20 pages, including CV, contact details, artist statement (Kurzportrait), confirmation that the works are by the applicant, and written consent to publish the works on the foundation's website and in press/social media coverage of the award ceremony.

Submission Deadline

Awards

  • First prize: 1,500 EUR
  • Second prize: 1,000 EUR
  • Third prize: 500 EUR
  • All winners receive an additional 500 EUR for travel and exhibition expenses.

Notification

Winners will be notified in writing and presented on the foundation's website.
