About
Overview
The Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation is seeking four accomplished muralists to participate as live mural painters for the 2026 Sugar Land Arts and Music Fest at Sugar Land Town Square. This is the fifth annual Sugar Land Arts Festival and live mural painting is a staple of the event. More than 100 artists participate across 14 different mediums. The festival draws local, regional, national, and international artists.

- July 15, 2026: Application opens
- September 1, 2026, 11:59 pm: Deadline to submit an application
- September 15, 2026: Notification of Acceptance
- November 6, 2026, Friday, 12pm–4pm: Setup your station
- November 6, 2026, Friday, 5pm–9pm: Must be onsite to sketch, design & possibly begin painting (electricity provided)
- November 7, 2026, Saturday, 12pm–8pm: Must attend and paint mural on-site during these hours (stipend distributed when complete)
- November 8, 2026, Sunday, 12pm–5pm: Murals must be completed by 5pm (stipend distributed when completed); 5pm–breakdown begins
Theme & Requirements
Your concept and rendering should represent "A Decade of Inspiration: Music, Art, Community." Incorporation of blue and silver in the mural is required.
