Overview
The Sugar Land Cultural Arts Foundation seeks four accomplished muralists with proven track record to participate as live mural painters at the 2026 Sugar Land Arts and Music Fest at Sugar Land Town Square. This is the fifth annual festival, held in the heart of Sugar Land and drawing from the Greater Houston Metro's population of 5 million.

- July 15, 2026: Application opens
- September 1, 2026, 11:59 pm: Deadline to submit application
- September 15, 2026: Notification of Acceptance
- November 6, 2026 (Friday), 12pm–4:00pm: Set up your station. 4:00pm: Set up your station. 5:00pm–9:00pm: Must be onsite to sketch, design & possibly begin painting. Electricity provided.
- November 7, 2026 (Saturday), 12pm–8pm: Must attend and paint mural on-site during these hours. Stipend distributed when mural is complete.
- November 8, 2026 (Sunday), 12pm–5pm: Murals must be completed by 5pm. Stipend distributed when mural is completed. 5pm: Breakdown begins.

Theme
A Decade of Inspiration: Music, Art, Community. Your concept and rendering should represent this theme. Incorporation of blue and silver in the mural is required.

About the Event
The Sugar Land Arts & Music Fest is a three-day festival featuring more than 100 artists participating across 14 different mediums. The event includes live music, mural painting, refreshments, wine and beer for purchase, and an exclusive VIP Zone reserved for sponsors. Local, regional, national, and international artists participate, highlighting diverse artwork and talent.
