Overview

A.I.R. Vallauris is a non-profit residency program welcoming artists from around the world to meet with local artists and create new works in the historic old town of Vallauris on the French Riviera. Over 500 artists from 30 nationalities have participated since April 2002.

Residency Sessions 2027

• Winter–Spring: Tuesday, January 12, 2027 to Friday, April 2, 2027 (80 days)
• Summer: Tuesday, April 13, 2027 to Friday, July 2, 2027 (80 days)
• Autumn: Tuesday, September 7, 2027 to Friday, November 26, 2027 (80 days)

Accommodation & Facilities

Each artist receives a private room in a traditional village house on Place Lisnard in the historic old town, with shared kitchen and common gathering space. An individual workspace is assigned in one of A.I.R. Vallauris' studios, either private or shared, located close to the residence.

Artist Expectations

Artists are free to work at their own pace and experiment with materials and techniques as they wish. No final exhibition or performance is organized at the end of the residency.

How to Apply

Applications are accepted until the last day of each month; early submission encouraged for priority session placement. There is no application processing fee. Submit materials by email with detailed information available in the application form.
