Overview
The Culture, Economy and Creative Industry Secretariat of São Paulo State, in partnership with the Associação Paulista dos Amigos da Arte (APAA), presents the Festival Support Program to support cultural festival projects in São Paulo municipalities, contributing to the strengthening of regional culture and creative economy.
Who Can Apply
- Prefectures of municipalities in São Paulo State, except the capital
- Municipalities cannot be in arrears with APAA
- Application must be made by municipal public servant with position and registration number
Program Goals
Support cultural festivals that promote artistic and cultural dissemination actions to diverse audiences, advancing regional cultural development and creative economy. Supported festivals must have minimum 2 days duration and be in second edition or later.
Funding
- 32 municipalities will be supported with up to R$ 100,000.00 per festival
- APAA will execute support directly through contracting of: artistic fees, curation or judging commissions, content licensing for exhibition, prize awards for contests
- No direct financial transfer to the municipality
What is NOT Supported
The municipality is solely responsible for: infrastructure, production team, communication and promotion services, printed materials, equipment or permanent goods purchases, food, transportation, accommodation or operational expenses.

- Application period: February 26 to April 8, 2026, until 18:00
- Execution of actions: April 8 to December 31, 2026
- Applications must be submitted minimum 30 days before the festival date
- Each municipality may submit multiple proposals, but only one will be selected
