Overview

The call invites artists of all disciplines to interpret the theme of doors and ports as passages and thresholds. The residency explores how doors and ports represent transitions, freedom, enclosure, and movement between worlds—both literal and metaphorical.

Residency Details

• Duration: 15 days (excluding travel), between May and October 2026; dates to be confirmed after selection
• Accommodation: Individual rooms with shared facilities
• Workspace: Open studios equipped with drawing tables, printmaking press, screen-printing equipment, sewing machines, tools for cement, wood and metal work, art library, plus a 150 m² open gallery for performance and drawing
• 2–5 artists participate simultaneously

Expectations of Artists

• Active participation in online meetings before and after the residency to share proposals, ideas, and reflections
• Engagement in group collaboration and collective creation during the residency
• Presentation of work at gastro-artistic events organized at El Hacedor
• Submission of written reflection with images documenting the work and creative process upon completion

Exhibition and Publication

All selected artists' work becomes part of a collective exhibition opening at year's end and is published on the organization's website.
