Organisation StructureRes Artis is registered as a public company limited by guarantee and operates as a not-for-profit organisation in Melbourne, Australia.We are governed by the volunteer efforts of our global Board and our Staff operate out of our international headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. Oyindamola (Fakeye) Faithful (Nigeria / United Kingdom) – Chair – is the current Executive & Artistic Director of the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos (CCA, Lagos) through which she facilitates the Àsikò Art School, a roving Pan-African, place-based residency program delivered to African artists and curators. Oyindamola serves as the Board Chair for Res Artis, the worldwide professional body for artists’ residencies and is also part of the leadership team for the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship, a virtual training program for art and healthcare practitioners. Oyindamola’s practice often centers collaboration, access, inclusion, embodied experience and new media technology. Marnie Badham (Australia / Canada) – Secretary – is an artist-researcher with a 25 year history of art and social justice practice in both Canada and Australia. She is an expert in socially-engaged art, the politics of cultural measurement, and community partnerships, also contributing to industry standards in public art commissioning, artist residencies, and arts funding and teaches across social practice, public art and expanded curation. Marnie is Senior Research Fellow at the School of Art, RMIT University, Naarm/Melbourne in Australia. Gordon Knox (United States) is an educator, a cultural innovator, and an institution builder. Knox relocates the critical, disciplined investigation and knowledge production of art back to the core of social interpretation and cultural transformation. His institutions support artists as agents of social change. Knox was president: the San Francisco Art Institute, director: the Arizona State University Art Museum, core collaborator: Stanford Humanities Lab. He was founder of artist residencies at Civitella Ranieri in Italy, the Lucas Artists Programs in California, as well as numerous short-term residencies globally.Green Team Member SHIFT Daniel Marro (Australia) –Treasurer Staff Jamieson Pearce – Outreach and Programmes Consultant – has a background in filmmaking and his short films have played at over 50 festivals around the world. In 2022/23 he undertook a writing residency at the Cité Internationale Des Arts in Paris, supported by I’Institut Français. This experience confirmed his passion for art residencies, for their potential to nourish the development of artists and their communities. Alongside his creative projects, he has worked in various industries (health, education, customer service) and brings strong communication skills and administrative expertise to this role.Green Team Member SHIFT Benneth Njoku – Web Editor – is a seasoned Brand Communications Specialist with over a decade of experience in content marketing, web design, SEO, and digital strategy. He has led impactful campaigns that have elevated brand visibility and audience engagement across sectors. Benneth has contributed to major national and international projects, including work with Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s media team, the World Economic Forum Africa 2014, the Nigeria National Conference 2014, and the CBN Cashless CardExpo Conference, just to mention a few. Currently the Lead Consultant at Strategia Media Nigeria, he is passionate about using digital tools to craft powerful narratives and drive meaningful public engagement. Mary Osaretin Omoregie – Memberships Coordinator – is a curator and researcher at the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos. Her curatorial and research interests lie at the intersection of African feminism, community engagement, and archival representation. She is particularly drawn to alternative frameworks of critical inquiry that challenge dominant narratives and explore the relationship between artistic practice, cultural identity, and collective memory.Mary holds academic degrees in both Law and Philosophy. She currently serves as Project Assistant for Àsìkò Art School and as Memberships Coordinator at Res Artis, the worldwide network of artist residencies. Alabi Oluwanifemi Deji – Media and Content Lead – is a trained medical doctor who seamlessly bridges the worlds of art and wellness. Over the past five years, he has worked on various creative projects, produced impactful content, and contributed to significant initiatives in the arts and wellbeing space. He began his career with the Centre for Contemporary Art, Lagos later joining the Asiko Art School Team, where he continues to shape storytelling through digital media. Nifemi is passionate about writing as a tool for art and self-expression and is an avid Asian culture enthusiast with a love for film, food, language, and music.
