AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.White Horse Gallery invites artists to submit work exploring the grotesque—however you define it.The grotesque can be bloody, beautiful, funny, disturbing, absurd, seductive, excessive, uncomfortable, or quietly unsettling. It can be overt or subtle, tongue-in-cheek or serious, subversive or hiding in plain sight.Where do you find the grotesque?In our bodies? Our beauty standards? Our relationships? Our institutions, histories, systems, environments, rituals, desires, or everyday lives?Maybe it’s immediately visible. Maybe it’s buried beneath something beautiful. Maybe it makes us laugh. Maybe it makes us look twice.Emerging and established artists working across mediums are encouraged to submit.Show us your grotesque.White Horse Gallery 18352 B Soledad Canyon RdCanyon Country, CA 91387 Show will run from October 26th (optional artist costume opening event October 30th)- November 14th (closing reception and optional artist talk)Call end October 19th. You will be notified of acceptance October 20th. Art drop off October 24 & 25th.

Application RequirementsArtist Statement: A brief artist statement describing your practice and/or the work being submitted.Artwork Images: Minimum 1, maximum 20 images.Maximum Artwork Size: 48” W × 60” H, including frame.Delivery: All accepted artwork must be hand-delivered to White Horse Gallery 18352 B Soledad Canyon RdCanyon Country, CA 91387Shipped artwork will not be accepted.Ready to Hang: All two-dimensional work must arrive ready to hang with secure hanging hardware installed. D-rings with picture wire are preferred. Sawtooth hangers are not accepted.

Eligibility CriteriaOpen to emerging and established artists, ages 18 and older, working in all visual art mediums. There are no geographic restrictions.
