The Federal Ministry for Housing, Art, Culture, Media and Sport awards 20 state stipends for visual art, photography, and media art in 2027. Eligibility
Open to individual artists with Austrian citizenship or permanent residency in Austria (registration certificate required). Only one application per person, in one of the three designated disciplines.

How to apply
Submit via the mandatory online form (available through the transparency portal or form service). All documents must be in German. Sign electronically via ID Austria (recommended) or with a statutory declaration (Word format, 40 KB).
Selection process
An independent jury reviews only complete applications. All applicants are notified of the result by email. Jury decisions are not verbally reasoned.
