About
Overview
The Provo City Library invites artists of all ages to submit works for its annual amateur art show. An amateur artist is someone who does not derive a steady income from or teach art. A juried show with prizes awarded in age-based categories (youth ages 3-18; adults ages 18+).
Media & size
2-D and 3-D visual art accepted, including paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics, glass, and metal art.
Size requirements
- 2-D art: no piece may exceed 50 inches in any dimension; all pieces must be framed or matted and ready to hang.
- 3-D art: non-breakable pieces must not exceed 60 inches in any dimension; pieces in display cases must not exceed 16 inches in height.
Restrictions & rules
- Entry limited to Provo City Library cardholders.
- No more than 2 entries per participant.
- Artworks must not depict nudity, extreme violent content, or use harsh language.
- No perishable materials or glitter.
- Artworks may be excluded if deemed unsafe to display.

How to enter
Submit entries electronically via online form with attached images. Entries are free. Parents/guardians may register themselves and then submit art for up to two entries each for minors in their care; contact [email protected] if you need more than 10 submissions.
