Call for Artists: Where We Find Joy: Art About Everyday Moments That Matter

Group Fine Art Exhibit at the Cora McCorvey Health and Wellness Center
The Cora McCorvey Health and Wellness Center announces its fall and winter group fine art exhibit, “Where We Find Joy: Art About Everyday Moments That Matter,” with an open call to Minnesota-based artists age 50 and above working in 2D media.

We are seeking works that explore the places joy lives in our everyday lives through connection, memory, humor, beauty, friendship, family, nature, ritual, resilience, or the small moments that simply make us feel alive.

What brings us delight? Where do we find light in the ordinary? How can art help us notice, remember, and share the moments that matter?

This exhibition invites artists to reflect on joy in all its forms: quiet or exuberant, personal or shared, fleeting or enduring. Through memory, observation, imagination, and lived experience, artists are encouraged to celebrate the people, places, traditions, experiences, and everyday moments that bring meaning and joy to our lives.

Please complete the application by Monday, October 19, 2026.

All selected artists will be notified by Wednesday, October 28, 2026 , with further instructions for completing an exhibition contract and dropping off their work.

All selected artists will receive a $50 stipend , a custom swag bag gift, and are welcome to keep 100% of any artwork sales . Previous exhibitions have averaged approximately 15% of works sold, with that number continuing to grow!

The exhibition will open in conjunction with the Where We Find Joy Opening Reception & Holiday Gifts Fair on Saturday, December 5, 2026, from 1 to 3 PM at the Cora McCorvey Health and Wellness Center. The event is free and open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Artists may submit up to five 2D works for consideration. If selected, all submitted works will be included in the exhibition. Artists are also welcome to propose new work; please indicate this in your application. All selected works must be approved prior to installation.

We hope this exhibition creates a space to celebrate joy not as something frivolous, but as something deeply human, something we make, notice, remember, and share with one another.
