Overview

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online juried exhibition celebrating pure abstraction. Abstract art uses colors, shapes, and lines in creative ways to express feelings or ideas, leaving interpretation open to the viewer. Show us pure abstraction through your perspective.

Eligibility

Open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional
Work previously selected for Art Fluent exhibits ineligible
Work copied or done under instructor guidance ineligible
AI-generated work not accepted

Media & Submissions

Open to all fine art mediums: oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, film/video, digital art. You may submit up to 20 total works (images, video, or combinations). Diptychs and triptychs should be uploaded as a single image. For 3D work, there is no need to pay for additional entries for detail shots; send additional views by email to [email protected] after your first entry.

Image Requirements

Submit properly cropped, in-focus images in JPEG/JPG format. Image size must be 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side. Maximum file size is 5 MB.

Video Requirements

Accepted formats: MOV, MP4, WMV. Aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920x1080. Bit rate recommended above 240 kbps, frame rate 30 fps. File size must be under 100 MB. If selected, provide file link via Vimeo.

Entry fee: $25 for first entry / $10 for each additional entry, up to 20 total
Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance
Best of Show: $750
Two Director's Choice awards: $250 each

Artists receive 100% of sales; Art Fluent donates a portion of entry fee proceeds to arts organizations

Jury & Notification

Director's choice juried by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill and an anonymous committee. Everyone who submits will be notified by email of the jurors' selections. No personal feedback is given by jurors. If you don't receive notification by the date stated, check your email filters.
