Overview

Saint Paul Public Library seeks artists and/or artist teams to create original, community-centered artworks to be installed permanently in Hayden Heights Library as part of the library's Transforming Libraries initiative. The artwork should reflect the diversity, culture, and values of Saint Paul residents, especially those historically excluded from public libraries and similar civic spaces.

What We're Seeking

Visual artwork for interior or exterior placement at Hayden Heights Library
Collaboration with SPPL staff and design professionals to ensure site compatibility, safety, and durability
Artwork that complements interior finishes and utilizes the space's values, personality, brand colors, and guidelines
Work reflecting equity, accessibility, cultural identity, and belonging
