Overview
The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia has partnered with Micron to strengthen STEM learning by ensuring underserved students have access to high-quality STEM learning experiences. STEM programs serving rising 6th-12th grade students in Northern Virginia are invited to apply.
Who Can Apply
- Public K-12 schools and higher education institutions located in Northern Virginia
- 501(c)(3) organizations providing charitable or educational services in Northern Virginia (areas within Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William Counties and Cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, Manassas Park)
- Local, state and federal government entities are not eligible
Program Priorities
- Focus on Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computing & Technology Integration: Programs centered on engineering, robotics, computer science, applied math, physics, chemistry, AI, data science, or semiconductor-aligned content are strongly encouraged
- Include AI Learning: Programs must incorporate AI-related activities, tools, or lessons
- Integrate Measurement, Evaluation, Learning: Applications with a well-defined Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approach will be prioritized
- Preference given to applicants serving students in Title I schools
Awards
General operating support grants of $15,000 or $30,000 will be awarded.
