Artists, performers, architects, designers, and community organizations are invited to submit proposals for light-based art installations, performances, projections, fire sculptures, and immersive experiences for the 2027 festival.

The Portland Winter Light Festival, produced by Nightlab, invites Portland's creative community to participate in the 2027 festival. Every February, artists, performers, architects, designers, students, venues, businesses, and community partners transform Portland into an outdoor gallery of light. Art installations, performances, projections, fire sculptures, and immersive experiences invite hundreds of thousands of people to see familiar places in new ways. Established artists and newcomers alike are welcome; previous festival experience is not required.

Individual artists and performers can submit proposals using light in creative ways. Businesses, galleries, storefronts, cultural organizations, and other public-facing spaces are encouraged to participate by hosting artwork during the Festival.
