Get matched →The PASEO 2027 Biennial is a two-day outdoor festival dedicated to installation, performance, and projection art in the Taos Historic District, taking place Friday and Saturday evening, September 17th and 18th, 2027. The festival seeks approximately 25 installations that are immersive, participatory, and will make a dynamic impact. Artists must be on site sunset to 11 pm daily. Overnight security is provided.
The 2027 theme is 'Convergence'—movement toward connection existing in the dynamic space between individuality and collectivity, where difference, contradiction, and multiplicity coexist. The call invites work that engages across disciplines, cultures, communities, species, and ways of knowing, asking what becomes possible when we engage one another fully.
Open to international artists. Submissions must be fully executed projects (no concept proposals). All work must be original and created by or under the direction of the artist(s); collaborations are welcome. Installations must be designed for nighttime viewing and able to withstand the outdoor environment of the high desert of Northern New Mexico. Artwork must match the type and quality submitted for jurying.
Submit 3–5 images of completed work. Performance Art may be either scripted or unscripted, random or carefully orchestrated, spontaneous or planned; it can be live or via media and involve time, space, the performer's body or presence, and a relationship between performer and audience.
PASEO provides stipends ranging from $500–$3,000 (larger projects funded at $5,000–$15,000). Stipend amount is contingent on size, complexity, and anticipated festival impact. PASEO provides funds for shipping of artwork; artists are responsible for installation. Please visit paseoproject.org for details on what is and is not covered.
