Year Grant

Overview

Established in 1998, the Year Grant Scheme aims to provide strategic support and nurture local small and medium-sized arts groups towards artistic excellence. The grant supports the operation and production needs of distinguished professional arts organisations or representative groups in different art forms for a fixed period of 12 months or 24 months in pursuit of artistic excellence. The full spectrum of arts disciplines is supported, including music, dance, drama, xiqu, film and media arts, visual arts, literary arts, arts criticism, arts education and arts administration.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a non-profit company limited by guarantee without share capital registered in Hong Kong. Applications cannot be submitted in the name of an individual, sole proprietorship, or partnership. HKADC does not accept applications from any arts organisation which is the parent company or subsidiary of organisations currently receiving Year Grant, or the parent company or subsidiary of any new applicant organisation applying at the same time.

Grant Periods

• One-Year Grant: 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027
• Two-Year Grant: 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028

How to Apply

Complete the application form and submit to the HKADC Administration Office (5/F, Landmark South, 39 Yip Kan Street, Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong) during office hours. Applications may be submitted by person, post, courier, or email ([email protected]). Late submissions or submission by fax or digital means other than email will not be processed.

Submission Deadline

• 6:00pm on 30 January 2026 (Friday)
• Post: postmarked on or before deadline
• Courier: pick-up date on or before deadline
• Email: electronic date and time on or before deadline

Application Process

• Submission of application form
• Assessment by panel (including Examiners and Members of related Artform Groups)
• Written notification of application result sent to applicant
• First installment released after signing of agreement
• Mid-Year Report submitted within 7th month of each grant year; second installment released
• Year End Report submitted within one month after each grant year; third installment released
• Audit Report submitted within six months after each grant year; final installment released within one month after HKADC verification
