A five-day professional training program exploring relief printmaking (linocut and woodblock) as an artistic language and medium, examining its aesthetic dimensions, technical demands, and role in contemporary art. The course combines technical instruction, theoretical discussion, and personal project development.

Four visual artists and art professionals with solid prior experience in relief printmaking or who have completed Module 1, seeking to integrate the medium into a professional artistic practice.

Prior completion of Module 1 or solid existing practice in relief printmaking (linocut and/or woodblock), to be confirmed by interview with the instructor. Participants should bring a work apron, sketchbook, documentation, pencils, and research sketches. Accessibility accommodations available upon request.

Integrate relief printmaking into professional artistic practice; develop critical reflection on choosing this medium in the 21st century; articulate artistic discourse with visual production; support maturation of personal projects using relief printmaking; experiment with alternative supports (thick paper, textile, overprinting); move beyond purely technical approaches to adopt the perspective of a conscious artist-engraver with a distinct visual signature.

Day 1: Introduction, collective monumental print (150 x 50 cm), review of medium-specific properties (irreversibility of direct cutting, white line and reserved areas, gesture control, temporal rhythm, trace and mass, transition from unique to multiple images), experimentation with scales and alternative supports, with printing on roll paper by day's end.

The training combines technical instruction, theoretical input, and personal project mentoring, adapted to each participant's profile and goals. Daily group synthesis and debriefing sessions review learning progress and difficulties encountered.

Self-assessment by participants at the start and end of training using a skills grid; continuous observation of learning outcomes by the instructor; individual and collective final assessment of technical competencies, understanding of the medium, and prospects for continuing practice.
