Get matched →VOICES OF NATURE — 2nd Edition is a multidisciplinary residency hosted by Kaaysá Art Residency in Boiçucanga, within the Atlantic Forest region. Continuing from the 2024 edition, this program invites artists, researchers, and creators to develop poetic investigations in dialogue with the territory and natural environment. The residency includes mentorship, collective exchanges, and dialogues with invited curators and special guests including Indigenous leaders who will share ancestral knowledge and perspectives on climate, territory, and nature.
Open to visual artists, photographers, writers, painters, sculptors, dancers, performers, musicians, researchers, and other creators from Brazil and abroad working in visual arts, dance, performance, music, literature, audiovisual, sculpture, installation, photography, and performative practices.
The residency includes artistic mentorship, portfolio reviews with curators, studio visits, Atlantic Forest trails, ceramics workshops, visits to regional cultural spaces and fishermen's village, dialogues with invited curators (Lucas Bambozzi, Fernando Velasquez, Renato de Cara, Simon Watson) and a newly selected resident young curator, and workshops with local children. At the end, an open studio presentation will be held for the local community.
