About
Overview
Under the framework of Reliable Copy, a publishing house and research practice, Nihaal Faizal and Sarasija Subramanian produce and circulate works, projects, and writing by artists. For their residency at Amant, they will source, catalogue, annotate and analyze documents related to the Hanuman Book series, published between 1986 and 1993 by artist Francesco Clemente and writer Raymond Foye. They aim to offer a revisionist, non-occidental reading of this series, which was produced at Kalakshetra Press in Madras but never distributed in India.
About Reliable Copy
Since 2018, Reliable Copy has published eight books, curated an exhibition, hosted workshops, and organized public programming. The publishing house was established to explore independent publishing within arts and culture, publishing artworks and research by artists that require the format of a book, digital publication, or writing that slips through the cracks of academic spaces.
