Overview
Photon Residency Ptuj is an international residency programme for emerging artists working in contemporary photography and related visual practices. The program is linked to the Different Worlds annual open call of Photon Gallery for young photographers from Central and Eastern Europe and Austria. Selected participants develop their artistic practice through mentoring, curatorial support, portfolio discussions, and connections with the wider regional network.

Accommodation & Facilities
Residents stay in a residential house on the premises in Ptuj with two private bedrooms, shared kitchen and bathroom, and common living areas. A private studio workspace with basic equipment suitable for photographic and visual work is provided.
Support & Services
The residency offers accommodation, studio space, mentoring, curatorial and professional assistance, individual consultations, portfolio and project discussions, and connections with Photon Gallery in Ljubljana and the wider regional network.
Eligibility
Open to emerging photographers and visual artists from Central and Eastern Europe and Austria who use photography as a central medium, including interdisciplinary and research-based approaches.
