About

Overview

Fat Over Lean (FOL) is a collaborative art show open to all fat artists living in Oregon and Southern Washington. This is a non-juried show with the goal of accepting as much art as possible. Artists of all experience levels are welcome to apply.

Key Dates

  • Application period: August 1–September 12, 2026
  • Artists notified of selection: September 16, 2026
  • Art drop-off: September 17–28, 2026 (times/days TBA)
  • Exhibition: October 1–31, 2026

Eligibility

  • Must be a fat artist
  • Must reside in Oregon or Southern Washington

Media & Size

  • Accepted media: ceramics, digital art, drawings, fiber art, glasswork, installation work, video work, performance art, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, and printmaking
  • Nude, sexual, sex work, and kink-related art accepted (barring live sex acts)
  • 2D art does not need to be framed
  • Accepted hanging hardware: D-ring, wire, sawtooth, magnetic pins, and more

Submission Requirements

  • Up to 10 artworks per artist or artist collaboration
  • Maximum upload size: 10 MB per file
  • Artist statements encouraged but not required
  • Artist bios encouraged but not required
  • If depicting individuals other than yourself, written permission from subject required to exhibit (exception: public domain, Creative Commons, or legally licensed images)
