About
Overview
Hub Feenix is a non-profit creative center and artist residency program set in a transformed sanitarium on beautiful grounds in nature. The residency offers a harmonious environment for focused creative work, with access to shared facilities, inspiration from nature, and opportunities for collaboration and skill-building.
Residency Duration & Dates
The residency runs annually from April through December, with a winter break January to March. Artists typically stay 1–3 months; a minimum of 2 months is recommended.
Accommodation & Facilities
Artists stay in private 15m² bedrooms and share kitchen, bathroom, and shower facilities, with access to shared lounges and co-working space. Private toilets (€50/month extra) and private bathroom/shower (€100/month extra) are available in limited quantities. Workshop facilities include printmaking, textile, ceramics, professional wood workshop (300m²), 3D-printing workshop, sound recording studio, and music room. Private studios (15m²) on the 4th floor offer natural light and forest views.

€700/month, including private bedroom (15m²) with dedicated studio and access to Makerspace facilities. Additional costs apply for extra heating with an electric radiator according to artist's own use.

Visual artists, illustrators, cartoon or animation artists, musicians, writers, designers, artisans, journalists, curators, translators, and others are welcome to apply.
Expectations & House Policies
No expected outcome of residency; artists share monthly Meet the Artists afternoons and may organize open studio events, concerts, or exhibitions. Hub Feenix is a vegetarian environment—no meat or fish may be brought or cooked on premises. Alcohol is allowed in moderation. Artists must keep common spaces tidy, clean their bedroom and studio before leaving, and download the Signal app. Residency coordinators (professional artists) are available to support collaborations and workshops.
