Uitwisselingsprogramma Kooperativa x Kunstenpunt: wissel kennis uit met de Zuidoost-Europese kunstensector

Overview

Kunstenpunt organizes this international exchange and networking program to build lasting and meaningful relationships with the Southeast European arts sector. The program runs from June 2026 to September 2027, supporting Flemish artists and cultural professionals who wish to engage deeply with Southeast European arts organizations. Special focus is placed on art and democracy, learning from practices in a similar yet different sociopolitical context with attention to political and social unrest.

Who Can Apply

This call is for Flemish artists and cultural professionals working in visual arts, performing arts, music, and sound. Applicants must identify a Southeast European host organization (in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Serbia, or Slovenia) willing to receive and mentor them.

What the Exchange Involves

You will spend 3 to 5 days embedded with one organization, following their work closely, learning their practices and daily operations, and building a network to understand their arts ecosystem. After the exchange, you must report on your experiences in a format of your choosing—written report, video, lecture, or audio recording—to be shared online with the arts sector. All participants will gather in autumn 2027 to share findings.

Funding Covered

This call covers travel costs, accommodation, daily allowances, and a reimbursement of up to €300 to the host organization to cover any costs incurred. Budgets are calculated according to Erasmus+ rates.

How to Apply

First, find a Southeast European host organization willing to receive you. If you need help finding a host, contact [email protected] or use the ARE.NA platform for matchmaking support. Applications are submitted in two steps: Step 1—Email [email protected] to express interest and briefly describe your project; you will receive feedback and guidance. Step 2—Email [email protected] with the host organization's letter of intent, visit schedule, your motivation, and description of how you plan to report your findings. If you already have all information for Step 2, you may skip Step 1, but it is recommended you contact the team first.

Selection Criteria

Selection is made by the Kunstenpunt team based on: relevance of the host organization, particularly regarding art and democracy; visit schedule; motivation, especially as it relates to the theme; how you will report findings and inform Kunstenpunt and the Flemish arts field. A total budget funds 15 mobility grants. Early submission is encouraged rather than waiting until the final deadline.

This call covers mobility from Flanders to Southeast Europe. Later programs will invite Southeast European professionals to visit Flanders.
