Overview

The 5th Annual Art on the Fox Algonquin is an outdoor suburban art festival in Algonquin, Illinois, a dynamic community 40 miles northwest of Chicago along the Fox River. Amdur Productions, a nationally acclaimed arts festival production company with over 40 years of experience, organizes and directs the event with extensive marketing, staff support, and on-site assistance.

Key Dates

• Through November 30, 2025: Early bird application promo ($20 fee)
• January 16, 2026: Regular application deadline
• February 16, 2026: Notifications of festival status posted online
• February 17, 2026 and thereafter: Late applications accepted ($25 fee)
• March 16, 2026: Registration forms and show fees due (in full or half)
• March 17, 2026 and thereafter: Late registration fees apply
• April 1, 2026: Last day for refunds (less $50)

Exhibition Dates

• Saturday, September 12 to Sunday, September 13, 2026

Fees

• Early bird (through November 30, 2025): $20
• Regular (January 16, 2026 deadline): $25
• Late applications (February 17, 2026 onwards): $25

Waitlist Policy

Applications received after January 16, 2026 are considered late applications and may be placed on a waitlist. Invitations to participate are based on available space at the time the application is received. Waitlisted artists are selected from jury scores in each category and invited into the show as cancellations occur. Waitlist artists can resubmit art images and/or a booth image for reconsideration. Amdur Productions will notify late applicants via email of their status within 10 business days of receipt. Waitlist artists can be accepted up to and on the day of the show and will be notified by phone and/or email when a booth becomes available.

Festival Details

• Setting: Outdoor on Main Street
• Artist Sales: Artists keep all sales income from the show
• Staff Support: Amdur Productions staff present throughout to assist artists from load-in to load-out
• Booth Sitting: Staff available to booth sit throughout the festival
• Load-in: Saturday morning with vehicle access to booth spaces
• Artist Parking: Reserved close day and overnight parking at no additional cost
• Security: Overnight security provided
• Marketing: Multi-layered marketing plan including print and digital advertisements, radio, posters, social media, direct mail, and professional public relations team
