About
Overview
The Pastel Society of Colorado invites soft pastel artists to submit work for the 2026 International Online Show. The exhibition will be displayed on ShowSubmit.com and pastelsocietyofcolorado.org. The juror is Corey Pitkin, PSA, IAPS-EP.

Eligibility
Open to all soft pastel artists 18 years of age or older. All artwork must be original, designed and composed by you using your own reference, and not copied from other artists or published materials. Work must be completed within the last two years (2024 or later) and not previously shown in any Pastel Society of Colorado exhibitions. The final surface must be predominantly (80%) traditional dry pastel. AI-generated images, work created over photographic images or prints, and work done under supervision in a class or workshop are not eligible.
Submission Requirements
Submit up to 5 original, high-quality JPEG digital images of your paintings. Ensure images are cropped to show only the artwork, oriented correctly, and are high resolution. Each painting must have either a sale price or be marked Not For Sale (NFS), with pricing based on framed price. A maximum of 2 paintings per artist may be juried into the show.
Entry Fees
- PSC Members: $30 for up to 3 paintings, $5 for each additional painting up to 5
- Non-Members: $40 for up to 3 paintings, $5 for each additional painting up to 5
- Entry fee is non-refundable and must be paid at time of entry
- PSC membership: $45 annually
Awards
Nine cash prizes, plus the Terry Ludwig award, will be awarded at the discretion of the judge. All awards are final with no exchanges or substitutions. Award winners will be paid by check (US artists only) or PayPal (non-US artists).
Sales & Shipping
PSC will connect potential buyers with artists, but sales and delivery are the sole responsibility of the artist. A 10% donation to PSC is requested on all sales during the show. Sales end January 31, 2027. PSC accepts no liability in the sale or shipping of artwork.
Notification & Image Usage
All artists will receive email notification by end of day Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Accepted works will be notated by a green check in your ShowSubmit artist account. Artists agree to allow PSC and its representatives to use accepted images or likenesses for show publicity and future PSC event promotion without compensation.
