Get matched →Mayfaire by-the-Lake is a juried fine arts festival held on Mother's Day weekend on the shores of Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland, Florida. This premier two-day outdoor art festival celebrates its 55th year and has been voted one of the Best Fine Art Festivals on the Sunshine Artist 200 List. Attendance is approximately 10,000. All artwork must be original (one-of-a-kind) and handmade by the applicant; buy/sell work is strictly prohibited.
Submit your application online at Zapplication.org. Minimum 3 images required; images must NOT contain identifying information, artist signatures, or company names. Non-refundable administration fee: $40. Award winners from 2026 may contact the Mayfaire Office for a discount code to waive the fee.
A panel of five experienced jurors selects artists based on anonymously submitted images. Highest scores are invited; next highest scores are offered a waitlist spot. Wait list artists are notified by phone or email if a spot becomes available (wait list artists are not taken the weekend of the show).

Booths are spaced with 2 ft between each booth on grass in a city park with very limited shade. ADA accommodation requests must be made on the application. Failure to respond by March 29, 2027 may result in revocation of invitation. Musicians are juried separately and are not eligible for Show Awards. Only original artwork is eligible for judging.
