Opportunity SummaryCID Design Group is looking for proposals from multiple artists or artist teams to create an original mural for the back courtyard of our studio located at 9606 Bernpine Ct, Bonita Springs, FL. These murals will be part of our annual Open Studio Event, and murals will be created for this event on a yearly basis. This application is for our May 2027 event.We are curating about 6-12 different murals ranging in three size categories: Large (A), Medium (B), and Small (C). Accepted proposals will be assigned a size based on the design of the work.

General InformationCID Design Group is looking for proposals from multiple artists or artist teams to create an original mural for the back courtyard of our studio located at 9606 Bernpine Ct, Bonita Springs, FL. These murals will be part of our annual Open Studio Event, and murals will be created for this event on a yearly basis. This application is for our May 2027 event.We are curating about 6-12 different murals ranging in three size categories: Large (A), Medium (B), and Small (C). Accepted proposals will be assigned a size based on the design of the work.All proposals will need to be in the theme of Old Florida, Tropical, Bonita Springs, South Florida, Imperial River, Wonder Gardens, Old Town Bonita and anything similar. With these elements in mind, designs must be ELEVATED, refined, and themed, yet not theatrical. Each artist can submit up to 3 proposals per application. Only one application per artist is allowed.These murals will be an outdoor art exhibition as part of our annual event called Open Studio that will take place in the courtyard attached to CID’s studio and a social art gallery opening May 2027. Open Studio is a creative community, social club, and annual event designed to inspire and elevate the creative spirit within us all. Hosted within our creative campus, it brings together artists, designers, architects, founders, visionaries, purpose-driven brands, clients, and community members to connect, exchange ideas, and experience new perspectives. Through immersive art and exhibitions, holistic wellness, forward-thinking workshops, original music, creative culinary experiences, and local partnerships, Open Studio creates an environment for collaboration, discovery, and meaningful connection. It is a place to gather, create, learn, and grow, cultivating the space and inspiration to enjoy the process and imagine what’s possible.Our vision for this mural project is to establish it as a cultural destination in Southwest Florida—much like Wynwood has become for Miami. We hope to create a vibrant destination that draws residents and visitors alike, while serving as a creative catalyst for our community. More than simply beautifying a space, our goal is to demonstrate the importance of visual art in creating connection, inspiring creativity, and enriching the cultural identity of the region. We envision this project as a place where art, people, and community come together to create something lasting and meaningful. BUDGET:Large (A): $15KMedium (B): $10KSmall (C): $8KMuralists traveling from out of the region will receive a travel stipend to assist in covering living expenses.

Eligibility CriteriaArtists do not need to be local, however you must be at least 18 years old to participate. National and international artists are welcome to apply. A travel stipend will be provided for artists coming from out of the region.
