General InformationProject OverviewThe Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) is seeking a qualified artist or artist team to design and create an original, site-specific mural at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy, located at 320 South Indian River Drive in Fort Pierce.Situated along the Indian River Lagoon and at a prominent entrance into Downtown Fort Pierce, the property provides an opportunity to create public art that enhances the area, celebrates its unique waterfront setting, and creates a welcoming visual connection between the school, the natural environment, and the surrounding community.Project Theme & Artistic Vision Wall Specs: https://issuu.com/docs/c677609902ce5a3ba6be14ce30927198The mural should reflect the themes of youth, nature, water, education, and the surrounding environment, drawing inspiration from St. Andrew’s Episcopal Academy's location along the Indian River Lagoon.Artists are encouraged to develop an original concept that celebrates the relationship between young people, learning, and the natural environment of Fort Pierce. Potential imagery may include native plants and wildlife, birds, fish and marine life, mangroves, the Indian River Lagoon, waterways, and other elements representative of the local ecosystem.Educational or ecological elements may also be incorporated into the artwork to encourage curiosity, environmental awareness, and appreciation for the natural resources surrounding the school.
