Overview

The Turtle Creek Fine Arts Festival is a two-day outdoor fine art festival in Reverchon Park, one of Dallas's most prestigious neighborhoods. The festival features approximately 100 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalwork, glass artists, jewelers, and more, with artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, festival foods, and beverages.

Reverchon Park, 3505 Maple Avenue, Dallas, Texas. Outdoor setting. Free parking available at the event site and on-street parking in surrounding neighborhoods. Dolly/wagon access only; parking is nearby.

Categories

• 2-D Mixed Media: Collage, papermaking, encaustic, pen and ink, paint, pencil, watercolor, or photography—wall-mountable
• 3-D Mixed Media: Mosaic, papier mâché, clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, or other three-dimensional objects
• Ceramics: Original shaped and fired clay (earthenware, porcelain, raku)
• Digital Art: Two-dimensional works manipulated by the artist using computer software
• Drawing & Printmaking: Pen, pencil, charcoal, pastels, or chalk drawings; pulled plates, linoleum, etching, engraving, silkscreen, or lithography (all prints must be signed and numbered; photocopies not permitted)
• Edibles: Handmade pre-packaged items (jam, sauce, baked goods, etc.; not prepared on-site)
• Fiber: Basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, quilting (embellishment of manufactured materials not permitted)
• Glass: Blown, fused, stained, cast, or molded (embellishment of manufactured materials not permitted)
• Handicraft: Handmade items from manufactured, recycled, or repurposed materials (complete description required)
• Jewelry: Metal, glass, stone, clay, or other materials; at least 50% of organic materials must be artist-produced (commercial molds/casts not permitted)
• Metal: Functional and non-sculptural metalwork
• Painting: Oils, acrylics, watercolors, tempera suitable for hanging
• Photography: Prints, transparencies, or digital images from original negatives or digital camera, processed by the artist
• Sculpture: Three-dimensional work in any individual medium
• Wood & Furniture: Original works built, turned, carved, or tooled (embellished manufactured wood not permitted)

Fees & Entry

• Non-refundable admin fee: $30
• Minimum 4 images required to apply
• Late applications accepted at director's discretion and may be included on wait list

• T-shirts and commercial clothing (resale or manufactured items)
• Posters
• Manufactured toys (resale or manufactured items)
• Commercially manufactured or reproduced items (resale)
• Jewelry made from more than 50% manufactured components
• Items employing commercially available molds or patterns

Waitlist & No-Show Policy

A waitlist will be maintained. Selected wait-listed artists may be contacted when the wait list is released. Artists who have not checked in and/or called the Festival Emergency Number by Saturday 8:00 AM will be considered a no-show and forfeit their space. No-show artists are not eligible for refunds.

Amenities & Support

Snacks and water provided for artists Saturday and Sunday. Designated festival hotline available during event hours. Friday load-in available. 24-hour on-site security. Free parking.

Additional Information

Rain or shine event with no rain date; fees not refunded for inclement weather. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting sales tax at 8.25% (Texas 6.25% + City of Dallas 2%). Festival fees support GFPS, a nonprofit providing scholarships for artists.
