Skip to content Departments Lands, Capital & Housing The Lands, Capital & Housing service group oversees the housing, lands, and public works departments. Housing Musqueam’s housing department manages all activities related to housing, including managing the housing priority list and social housing stock, administration for renovations and new construction, helping our Elders and people with disabilities maintain their homes, provide emergency repair and maintenance support, and develop, update, and implement housing policies. A current area of focus for our department is engaging the community in maintaining and fulfilling their contractual agreements. Department objectives: support efficient use of land; improve housing quality; improve member knowledge in housing maintenance; improve service to community members; and increase housing choices and selection for members. Department objective: improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Musqueam land governance; management and administration by integrating the guiding principles of accountability, capacity-building, collaboration, communications, and recognition into our day-to-day activities. Department objectives: increase the management and operational capacity of public works; improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accountability; enable Musqueam’s programs for economic development and for development of new community buildings; and manage arrangements for delivering municipal services provided by the City of Vancouver.
