Artists are invited to enter artworks that explore the silent drama of objects: a bowl of fruit on the edge of ripeness, a single flower in a glass of water, a folded linen cloth catching the light, or a cluster of well-worn books resting on a table. All styles of still life are encouraged, encouraging viewers to slow down, look closely, and rediscover the beauty within ordinary things. **This exhibit is sponsored by the Friends of Franklin Park Arts Center and cash prizes will be awarded. PRCS welcomes projects across a wide range of media. A total of $20,000 in funding is available and will either be distributed across multiple commissions or awarded to a single applicant. Selected artists will exhibit their work as part of a free, month-long, immersive display of light, sound, and art. The deadline for submission is Monday, October 5. Applicants will be notified in late October. The display at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park will be open to the public from Tuesday, December 1, 2026, through Sunday, January 3, 2027, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. daily.
