Micha Hamel, composer, poet, performance artist and artistic researcher, served as Artist-in-Residence. The residency took place at Codarts University for the Arts Rotterdam during the period February–June 2022.

The project investigates the relationship between listening to music and societal listening. Through philosophical, empirical and artistic perspectives, the research examines whether music-listening skills can favorably influence how we listen to others. The research involved dialogue with scientists across different disciplines and resulted in a book titled 'Luisteratlas' (Listening Atlas), published by Querido in 2022.

Can we train our ears and learn to listen better? How can we use our music-listening skills to listen better to others?
