Ford Sons and Daughters

Overview

The Ford Sons and Daughters Program, established in 1995 by Kenneth Ford, encourages Roseburg Forest Products employees' children to develop their potential through continuing education.

Award

Each year, up to 10% of eligible candidates receive scholarships. Awardees attending a two-year college or program full time receive $3,000 each academic year. Awardees attending a four-year college or program full time receive $5,000 each academic year.

Eligibility Requirements

• Dependent child or stepchild of a full-time Roseburg Forest Products employee with minimum 18 months continuous employment as of March 1 of the application year
• 21 years old or younger as of March 1 of the application year (may continue beyond age 21 if selected)
• Goal to achieve an associate, bachelor's or technical degree (not previously earned a bachelor's degree)
• Attending full-time at a federal financial aid-eligible public or private, nonprofit or for-profit higher education institution in fall of the application year
• Felony conviction terms must be satisfied by August 1 of the application year

What Applicants Must Demonstrate

• Initiative and commitment to success in school and other activities
• Outstanding character reflecting positive behaviors and interactions in daily life
• Concern for others through volunteer service and/or help with family needs
• Responsibility and a strong work ethic through paid and/or unpaid work experiences
• Ability to clearly communicate strengths and goals, both verbally and in writing
• Well-thought-out education plan and ability to succeed academically

Key Dates

• Applications open annually on December 1
• Submission deadline: March 2, 2026, at 5:00 pm Pacific Time
• Application year begins December 1

• Start application on December 1 at www.tfff.org/scholarships/ford-sons-daughters
• Complete and submit by March 2, 2026
• Upload transcripts showing coursework and grades through December 2025 (non-official copies accepted); home-schooled students must submit state-required documentation

Additional Information

Applicants may also apply for the Ford Scholars Program, but a separate application and additional documentation will be required. If selected for both, you must choose one scholarship. FAFSA is not required but encouraged for other financial aid opportunities.
