About
Overview
United Arts of Central Florida seeks a professional visual artist or artist team to design and install a large-scale public mural on an exterior wall at East End Market. The mural is part of the Community Vibrancy Program, a donor-supported initiative investing in place-based public art to strengthen neighborhood identity and enhance community vitality.
Project Details
The mural site consists of three recessed exterior wall spaces, each 8 feet wide by 8 feet high. Artists may propose a unified design connecting the spaces or treat them as related but distinct panels. The design must be noncommercial (no logos, branding, or advertising) and appropriate for public viewing, reflecting neighborhood identity and community context.
Theme
Florida birds, with a preference for endangered Florida birds. Designs must include an integrated acknowledgment panel recognizing the artist, donors, United Arts of Central Florida, Audubon Park Garden District, and East End Market.
