Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) invites 2D artwork to exhibit at the Lowe House Building in Annapolis, the office building for the Maryland State Delegates. Juror: Teddy Johnson, Academic Chair of Visual Arts at Anne Arundel Community College.

Entry is open to MFA Members or artists residing in Anne Arundel County. Work must be original, created within the past 3 years, and created by the artist's hand. No work created via image-generative AI. Work previously exhibited at the Lowe House Office Building is not eligible for re-entry. Work must be for sale.

  • Sept 8: Online entry opens
  • Nov 11: Entry deadline
  • Dec 10: Notification at 5 PM
  • Jan 6–10: Accepted and shipped work must arrive at MFA Circle Gallery
  • Jan 13: Exhibition opens
  • Jan 20: Virtual awards ceremony 5:30–6:30 PM via Zoom
  • Apr 12: Last day of exhibition
  • Apr 13: Pick-up hand-delivered work from Lowe House 11 AM–2 PM
  • Apr 14: Pick-up hand-delivered work from Circle Gallery 11 AM–4 PM
  • Apr 21: Shipped work will be sent

Original 2D work created through any media is eligible. Maximum size of work, including edges or frame: 30" in height and 24" in width.

  • 1 or 2 entries: $30
  • Up to 4 additional entries: $4.50 each
  • Entry fees are non-refundable
  • Maximum 6 original works created within the past 3 years
  • Upload through artcall.org
  • File size no more than 10 MB
  • For video submissions: provide link in Linked Web Resource field and upload a still frame
  • Work images for juror must correspond with actual work
  • Create artcall.org account (no charge)
  • Work must be for sale or set to Price on Request (POR)

Artists retain 70% from sales (75% for MFA Members). MFA retains 30% commission (25% for MFA Members) on any work sold through MFA.

Entering indicates understanding and agreement with MFA's approved Statement of Equity and Diversity and General Guidelines. Images of accepted works may be used by MFA for promotional purposes including invitation, catalog, website, social media, or future prospectuses, with attribution where possible. Work cannot be withdrawn before end of event. MFA may determine work ineligible if entry guidelines are not followed. Work delivered must correspond with submitted images.
