Overview

Berlin Art Week is the largest gathering of Berlin's contemporary art scene and marks the beginning of the city's art autumn season. This five-day festival features special exhibitions, performances, film screenings, and talks across the city.

Daily Programme

  • Wednesday: Grand opening event at leading art institutions; museum, gallery, and exhibition space openings
  • Thursday: Positions Berlin Art Fair opens at Berlin-Tempelhof Airport with national and international galleries; Gallery Night exhibition openings across the city
  • Friday: Focus on Berlin's independent scene with special programmes at initiatives and project spaces; Featured Night with extended hours and events
  • Sunday: Artist talks, Berlin Art Week Garten programmes, and guided tours through exhibitions and project spaces

Special Events

  • Open Houses: Renowned private collections open to the public without prior registration
  • Discovering Collections!: Guided tours through previously inaccessible private spaces of Berlin collectors (limited spaces available)
