Call for Artists : Welcome to the Gallery : Chenango Arts Council

Overview

The Chenango Arts Council accepts proposals year-round for educational exhibits and artist-curated shows. Membership is not required. Accepted artists receive a two-week exhibition with an opening reception.

What to submit

• Your resume and artist statement detailing the concept behind your proposed exhibit
• Eight numbered digital images of pieces you would put in the show
• A corresponding numerical list of the titles, mediums, sizes and dates of these examples

After Selection

• Your signed Exhibitor Agreement
• The title and a description of your show
• Digital imagery for posters, postcards and promotion
• A complete numbered list of the pieces you are showing and their prices

What We Provide

• Marketing campaign with online promotion, mailers and posters at no cost to you
• Experienced gallery staff to assist with hanging and de-installing
• Gallery space: 71 feet of wall space and 371 feet of floor space, plus 51 feet of wall space and 210 feet of floor space in the loft
• Fire, smoke and theft insurance with full alarm system
• Opening reception with food and wine
• Gallery staff to guide the public during regular business hours and by appointment
• Invoice processing, payment handling, and sales tax collection

Commission

Chenango Arts Council collects a 25% commission on all sales.
