About
Overview
The National Arts Council's Major Company Scheme supports professional and artistic development of registered arts organisations that represent excellence in their core mission. The refreshed scheme introduced in FY2025 aims to support arts organisations across different art forms and organisational types, contributing to strategic priorities outlined in the Our SG Arts Plan (2023–2027).
Assessment Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on (i) Artistic/Programme Excellence, (ii) Active Engagement of Stakeholders, and (iii) Organisational Capacity.
Funding Priorities
- Community Building: increase access to arts for different segments of Singaporeans; demonstrate positive social impact; develop deeper engagement through quality arts experiences
- Capability Development: investment in professional development of relevant capabilities for artists and arts companies; structured training with clear learning outcomes; addressing critical gaps in skills and knowledge
- Collaboration: innovative collaborations reflecting meaningful integration of different cultures, artforms and/or sectors; collaborations bringing sustained sectoral benefits, transformation and/or growth
Additional Support
NAC will invest in training for Major Companies who can apply for the Capability Development Grant for additional adhoc professional development programmes to train their full-time staff. This is the final open call cycle for Enhanced Support, which will support additional projects up to the end of FY28 (31 March 2029).
Funding Cap
Grant cap is standardised at 70% of qualifying costs.
