Get matched →Australian Tapestry Workshop (ATW) offers 2027 Artist in Residence programs for mid-career artists to develop their practice within a professional weaving studio. Three categories available: First Peoples, Open Call, and Regional. Artists do not need to produce a tapestry but can receive introductory training and work with weavers or dye technicians. Residents are encouraged to engage with the public through exhibitions, workshops, talks, or demonstrations.
The program is aimed at mid-career artists. Previous residency experience is not compulsory. ATW welcomes applications from culturally and linguistically diverse artists, people with disabilities, and artists living in regional or remote areas.
