Artspiration Frederick invites artists and ceramicists to submit original work inspired by barns, farms, rural landscapes, and the passage of time in Frederick County. From plein air painting, weathered wood, and rusted metal to atmospheric fired ceramics that embrace the elements, we want to see your interpretations!

  • Exhibition: October 2 - November 1, 2026
  • Artists reception: October 10, 2026, 3:00-5:00 PM
  • Pick-up dates: November 2-3, 2026, 10:00-4:00

Open to visual artists 18 years and older residing in the continental US. Work must be original, exhibition-ready, and for sale. Plein air artists: work should feature farms and barns of Frederick County, MD. Ceramics: regional artists.

All media accepted (2D, 3D, ceramics, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc.). Submit 1-3 high-resolution images (300 dpi) for jury consideration. Up to 3 works may be selected.

All entries must be completed online by September 11, 2026 through CaFÈ at callforentry.org (free account required). A nonrefundable $35 entry fee is required at time of application.

All 2-dimensional works must be properly framed with securely attached wire for hanging (no sawtooth hangers). All accepted work must have a label securely attached to the back (2D) or base (3D) with: Artist Name / Title of Art / Price. Prices in your CaFE portfolio are final and cannot be changed after entry.

Shipping is at the cost of the artist; return shipping label must be included. Shipped works must arrive by September 29, 2026. Use only boxes, crates, and bins with proper labels including artist contact information and piece name (no packing peanuts). Unsold shipped work will be shipped back using the artist's prepaid shipping label.
