Students in Grades 1–6 from Lawrence County register for weekly after-school art classes that run Tuesday–Thursday during the school year, with each week featuring hands-on creation inspired by exhibitions at the Hoyt Arts Center.

Get matched →After School Arts is a free weekly program for Lawrence County students in Grades 1–6. Every week brings a new discovery! Inspired by what's on display at the arts center, students create art while exploring science, history, music, and the world around them through fun, hands-on activities. Each week includes art and a day of music-making.
Doors open at 3 pm for socialization and snacks. Students can arrive anytime 3–4 pm. Instruction begins at 4 pm. Pick up at 5:30 pm.
Free, including materials and a daily snack.
Flexible weekly registration. Frequent no call/no-shows will result in the loss of your child's spot. If your child is ill or unable to attend, please let the center know by emailing [email protected] or calling 724-652-2882. Reported absences will not count against your child's attendance.
