Mobility funding - Nordic Culture Point

Overview

Mobility funding provides travel support for individual professional artists and cultural practitioners in the Nordic and Baltic region. The programme promotes artistic and cultural cooperation across Nordic and Baltic countries through exchange of knowledge, contacts, and professional presence.

Eligible activities

• Co-operation with colleagues in other Nordic/Baltic countries
• Guest performances
• Exhibitions
• Participation in conferences, meetings or workshops
• Research
• Travel to present art and culture productions

Not eligible for funding

• Trips within one and the same country/area
• Trips to or from countries outside the Nordic/Baltic region
• Trips that are part of formal studies
• Organisational or company travel
• Official travel for public administration employees
• Activities already completed
• Residential stays (except where primary purpose is cooperation with other artists)

Eligibility

Funding is available for professional artists and cultural practitioners in all forms of art and culture. Applicants must be residents of the Nordic Region (Denmark, Finland, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Åland) or Baltic countries (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). Students are not eligible unless the trip purpose is unrelated to studies.

Funding amount

Mobility funding covers travel and/or stays of up to 14 days. The amount is based on fixed travel costs and a fixed allowance per day calculated according to length of stay and destination. The application system calculates the amount automatically. An additional supplement can be applied for by applicants requiring personal assistance due to disability.

Key dates

• Application period: 18 August 2026 – 18 September 2026 (15:59 UTC +3)
• Trip must commence no earlier than 8 weeks after application deadline
• Trip must be completed within one year of funding decision

Application requirements

Only one application can be submitted per application round. If applying as part of a group traveling together, all members must submit individual applications. Confirmation from the destination is required. For trips with multiple destinations, invitations from each destination must be attached.

Sustainable travel options

Applicants may apply for funding covering multiple destinations on the same trip if all destinations are connected to the same project. Tours are not funded.
