Program Overview
The Open Residency Program at Cow House Studios offers artists critically valuable time and space to think, research, and make new work. Applications are open to both Irish and international cultural practitioners working in any discipline: visual artists, theatre-makers, writers, thinkers, choreographers, designers, performers, filmmakers, sculptors, photographers, etc.
Residency Dates (2018)
- Week 1: September 3–9
- Week 2: September 10–16
- Week 3: September 17–23
- Week 4: September 24–30
- Week 5: October 1–7
- Week 6: October 8–14
- Spaces awarded on a weekly basis. Minimum one-week stay; artists may stay for up to eight weeks.
What's Included
- Private room and studio
- Three meals daily
- 24-hour access to studio tools, facilities, and materials
- 343 m² (3,700 ft²) shared open-plan space with woodworking tools, darkroom, and computer lab
- Transportation to nearby towns (New Ross, Enniscorthy, or Wexford) twice weekly
Fees
- €360 per week
- 25% student and educator discount
- 25% discount for room-sharing
- Discounts can be combined for up to 50% off the weekly fee
