The Mondriaan Fund offers a studio residency at the International Studio and Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York City, a renowned institute that introduces working visual artists from around the world to the New York art scene. ISCP, located in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn since 2008, has 35 studios for young and mid-career artists.

The residency period runs from 8 February 2027 to 30 January 2028. Residents live in a single-room apartment (35m²) in Manhattan and have access to an ISCP studio in Brooklyn. All residents are expected to attend open studio days twice yearly. The program includes monthly field trips, visits from critics, and opportunities to present work in public talks held twice monthly.

The Mondriaan Fund provides €37,982 to cover travel expenses, material costs, and living costs. A 10% personal contribution is required. Studio rental, living space, gas, electricity, and internet costs are covered directly by the Mondriaan Fund. For artist duos or collaborative partnerships selected, the total amount increases proportionally. Artists based in the Caribbean part of the Kingdom may receive increased travel cost contributions assessed per situation.

Visual artists can apply for this residency. Artist duos or collaborating partners must each submit separate applications and must live and work together in one space during the residency. A duo is defined as 2 artists, 2 curators/observers, or a combination of these who structurally create work together.

Applications must be submitted in English. Before submitting, review the Residency page for terms and conditions, application procedure, and assessment procedure, as well as the terms and conditions applicable to Mondriaan Fund contributions.
