About
Overview
Identity 2026 is an international photography exhibition hosted by The Glasgow Gallery of Photography in Glasgow. The gallery invites photographers of all levels to explore the theme of identity through their work. Selected work will be displayed in the gallery (which receives over 500 visitors monthly) and featured online across social media (15K+ Instagram followers) and the gallery website (approx. 75K annual visitors).

Eligibility
Open to everyone. You do not need to be a professional photographer to participate.
What to submit
- Up to 8 photographs
- Explore the theme of identity in any photographic genre (portraits, documentary, landscape, cityscape, etc.)
- Submit as JPEG files only at 72 ppi; if selected, you will be asked to provide images at 300 ppi and minimum 3000 pixels on the shortest side
- Name image files: Firstname-Surname1, Firstname-Surname2, etc.
Fees
- Submission: Free
- If selected: £48 participation fee (covers printing, installation, and uninstallation by the gallery)
If selected
Selected photographers will receive a digital certificate of participation, photos of the installed exhibition, and entry into the Photographer of the Month (PotM) drawing. PotM winners receive social media/website highlight and inclusion in an end-of-year zine featuring all 12 monthly winners; a free copy of the zine is provided. Work may be listed for sale during the exhibition. Prints will be held for one month after the exhibition for collection.
Print sizes
Images will be printed at 16"×12", 18"×12", or 12"×12" depending on the image; the gallery provides frames and handles all printing and installation.
